A number of Loughborough staff have been involved in the JISC open course data project.  We are particularly grateful to Chris Carpenter, Chris Garrod and Jennifer Nutkins from Academic Registry, Greg Milsted from IT Services and Jonathan Walters and Andrew Cooney from Marketing and Communications.  Our IT Services student intern Dharmisha Nakeshri led on the process mapping exercise.  Martin Hamilton from IT Services developed the project proposal and is the primary contributor to this site.

As our approach to research data management and open data more generally develops, we will also be featuring these areas on the site. Loughborough’s Research Data Management  Working Group consists of Angela Crawford, Ray Kent and Zoe Stockdale from the Research Office, Jeff Brown and Lizzie Gadd from the University Library, Martin Hamilton and Julian Highfield from IT Services, Marcus Enoch from Civil & Building Engineering and Adrienne Muir from Information Science.

The Kit-Catalogue project at Loughborough has been working with a number of institutions to develop an open source database for equipment sharing. The project team have recently received EPSRC funding to look at an open data approach for institutions to share metadata about their equipment using an agreed common vocabulary, and we will aim to bring in updates from this work on the site. Melanie King and Jonathan Attenborough from the Centre for Engineering and Design Education, Paul Newman from IT Services and Rachel Thompson from Materials have led this work.
